For Matt Patterson, Managing Director of MRP Wired Solutions, the apprenticeship pathway was more than just a way into the electrical industry, it was the foundation of a successful career and business. Today, as a former AGA apprentice and current host employer, Matt has experienced both sides of the apprenticeship journey and understands firsthand the value of strong support, industry training and genuine partnership.
After deciding that university wasn’t the right fit, Matt chose a hands-on learning pathway through an electrical apprenticeship. Reflecting on his experience, he credits much of his early success to the guidance and support he received throughout his apprenticeship with AGA. From regular workplace visits to ongoing mentoring and practical assistance, the support helped him navigate the challenges of starting a career in a new industry.
Today, MRP Wired Solutions specialises in the installation of electrical and mechanical systems and continues to grow its workforce through apprenticeships. When it came time to hire apprentices of his own, partnering with AGA was an easy decision.
