Year 10 Multi-Industry Pathway Program

Our Year 10 Multi-Industry Pathway program provides an opportunity for eligible secondary school students to try a course and get an understanding of what working in each trade is like and whether you have an aptitude for the trade. This helps you to make an informed decision about you future career path without committing to a full qualification or Apprenticeship.

How it works:

Over six months, students will learn the basics of various industries including automotive, building and construction, business and community services, electrical and plumbing.

Students need to be aged 15 years or over. Please consult with your AGA VDSS Coordinator regarding the nomination and enrollment deadlines for the Year 10 Multi-Industry Pathway Program.
  • One Semester – 5 hours per week
  • Gain better understanding of the industry, career options and pathways
  • Be motivated to continue to study / undertake further training
  • Increase self-confidence, maturity, independence
  • Gain specific skills related to units of competency
CPCCWHS2001: 20 hours
  • Apply WHS requirements, policies and procedures in the construction industry
CPCWHS1001: 6 hours
  • Prepare to work safely in the construction industry
CPCCOM1015: 20 hours
  • Carry out measurements and calculations
CPCCCM1011: 16 hours
  • Undertake basic estimation and costing
CPCCCM2004: 16 hours
  • Handle construction materials
CPCCVE1011: 40 hours
  • Undertake a basic construction project
