Certificate II in Community Services (CHC22015)

This qualification serves as a pathway into the workforce as a community services worker, supporting individuals as a first point of contact and assisting with immediate needs. Work is carried out under regular supervision and within clearly defined guidelines.

Our 1-year program provides a combination of theory and practical experience to set you up for success. You’ll take part in term excursions to a variety of community businesses, develop cross-functional skills to boost your employability across different industries and explore future pathways in health, business, education support and more. Plus, you’ll have the chance to make a real difference in your community.

After completing our program, you’ll be job-ready with a Nationally Recognised Qualification, equipped with valuable skills and hands-on experience and prepared for further study or direct entry into the workforce. Take the first step towards a rewarding and meaningful career.

  • 1 year part-time while at school (excluding school & public holidays) 1 day per week

  • Apply basic principles and practices of infection prevention and control

  • Includes hands-on training and practical skills development at AGA’s campus
  • Access to AGA’s Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Assessments include written questions and practical tasks
  • Students obtaining a ‘Competent’ result for all units studied will be issued a ‘Qualification’ – BSB20120 - Certificate II in Community Services issued by AGA. Should a student not complete the full qualification, a ‘Statement of Attainment’ will be issued for the units which the student is deemed ‘Competent’.
