About Workplace Training
Our trainers visit your workplace every 4 to 6 weeks to provide hands-on training and assessment, and you’ll work on activities and tasks online between visits with phone and email support.

Employers must provide scheduled paid time for trainees to study, ensuring a balance between work and training.

This program runs for 52 weeks / 12 months.
The Certificate III in Business gives possible career outcomes of:

  • Training is delivered in the students' workplace, and through independent learning within the online Learning Management System (LMS), and through workplace support.
  • Trainers will visit students in their workplaces every four to six (4-6) weeks for two to four (2-4) hours and provide phone and email support between the visits.
  • Students undertaking the course through a traineeship must allocate weekly release from their routine work duties to undertake structured training as per the following guidelines:
    • At Certificate III and above, a minimum of three hours per week, averaged over a four-week cycle (pro rata for part-time trainees and only for the duration of competencies delivered and assessed in the workplace if the training program combines off-the-job structured training and workplace based structured training.
  • Students who are employed full time will be advised of the number of hours they will be expected to spend in workplace activities and tasks related to their units of study, both supervised and independently.
  • Students who are undertaking their studies via this delivery mode will have their employers’ regular working activities assessed to determine any onsite training requirements prior to the commencement of their training and any such requirements will be communicated and agreed to by students and their employers.
  • In instances where not all equipment or resources required to complete training and assessment are available in a student’s workplace, AGA RTO will provide training at appropriate AGA training facilities and students are required to attend onsite for assessment requirements.
  • An Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • Students are required to pass the ACSF LLN test at the required level in reading, writing and numeracy
  • Have suitable language, literacy and numeracy skills to read and comprehend learning materials and perform assessment tasks.
  • Students are required to successfully complete a Pre-Training Review to establish suitability and appropriateness for the program.
  • Have sound computer skills to navigate simple software to complete assessment activities with AGA online learning management system.
  •  Have access to a laptop or computer to bring to training sessions.
  • Students under the age of 17 require documented permission from Secondary School administration.
  • Students obtaining a ‘Competent’ result for all units studied will be issued a ‘Certificate’ – BSB30120 Certificate III in Business by AGA.
  • Should a student not complete the full qualification, a ‘Statement of Attainment’ will be issued for the units which the student is deemed ‘Competent’.
