CPC32420 Certificate III in Plumbing

Becoming a plumber is a respected profession vital for maintaining infrastructure and water systems. Plumbers install, maintain and repair plumbing in various settings and industries. This course ensures you have the skills to work safely and effectively with plumbing systems while adhering to regulations. This is a trade qualification for plumbers in residential, industrial and commercial workplaces who are responsible for assembling, installing and maintaining water services, sanitary plumbing and sanitary drainage, gas, roofing and mechanical services in both existing and new constructions.

This course is delivered through a combination of on-the-job learning as well as classroom study and on average, takes four years to complete (four terms of study per year) To be eligible for this course, you must be employed. If you don’t have a job, reach out to our team and we’ll connect you to local employers. Course details may change according to industry and regulatory standards. You’ll have access to our online Learning Management System to access training and theory assessment content and are required to have access to a laptop. Assessments are completed with a combination of written questions, exams and a portfolio of practical tasks. Our state-of-the-art training facilities have all the required tools and equipment for assessment activity to take place on site.

  • You must be 18 years of age or above at the time of application or have parent/guardian permission to enrol. Separation from secondary school evidence may be required.
  • Prior to enrolment or commencement of training you will be required to complete a literacy and numeracy assessment and a pre-training review to  determine your suitability to the course, verify your training plan, and identify any learning support needs.
  • Students obtaining a competent result for all units studied will be issued a qualification. Should a student not complete the full qualification, a statement of attainment will be issued for the units which the student is deemed competent.
  • If you withdraw, you’ll receive a Statement of Attainment for the units you’ve successfully completed.
To facilitate structured face to face delivery away from your workplace, training is delivered in Deer Park, Warragul and Korumburra.
