FAQs

An Apprenticeship usually takes three to four years to complete and involves learning a skilled trade such as Automotive, Building and Construction, Carpentry, Electrotechnology and more. You can choose to complete it part- or full-time and can even start an Apprenticeship while you’re at school through our Vocational Education and Training Delivered to School Students (VDSS) pathways. To complete an Apprenticeship, you have to be employed and working with an employer — this means you get to earn while you learn. Once you’ve completed the requirements, you’ll be a qualified tradie in the industry of your choice.
Traineeships give you the chance to learn about Business Administration, Education and IT practices across a wide range of industries. It follows the same structure as an Apprenticeship, meaning you’ll be earning a wage while you learn, giving you ‌real-world skills with an employer before you’re qualified. Our Traineeships act as a vocational-based pathway into a number of professional careers and see you receive quality guidance, support and learning along the way. Traineeships periods vary from 12 months to 48 months, depending on the industry that you are getting into. Our Business and Education Support Traineeships are completed over 12 months. Once you’ve completed the Traineeship, you’ll receive a Nationally Recognised Certificate which you can use around the country.
