“I got into carpentry as an apprentice so one day I can run my own business, I might go and work abroad or stay in Australia.”
Eli, was one of AGA’s first students to complete a carpentry pre-apprenticeship (Cert II) and move into a full apprenticeship (Cert III). Enrolling into a pre-apprenticeship (Cert II) allowed Eli to gain an understanding of the work over a short period (12 to 16 weeks).
The pre-apprenticeship provided Eli with a credit that he could take into his full apprenticeship so he would not need to repeat certain units.
AGA offers pre-apprenticeship courses that can help you decide if a trade career is for you.
