This course is offered as an apprenticeship and requires employment and one day of trade school per week. This course is usually completed over a four-year period (four terms of study per year) and will see you receive structured training and assessment at our Deer Park campus. Contact our team if you need help connecting with an employer. Course details may change according to industry and regulatory standards. The qualification is completed in an average of 4 years, 4 terms of study per year. The terms follow the Victorian School Term dates. You’ll have access to our online Learning Management System to access training and theory assessment content and are required to have access to a laptop. Assessments are completed with a combination of written questions, exams and a portfolio of practical tasks. Our state-of-the-art training facilities have all the required tools and equipment for assessment activity to take place on site.

  • You must be 18 years of age or above at the time of application or have parent/guardian permission to enrol. Separation from secondary school evidence may be required. Prior to enrolment or commencement of training you will be required to complete a literacy and numeracy assessment and a pre-training review. These will assist with determining your suitability to the course, verify your training plan, and identify any learning support needs.
  • Students obtaining a competent result for all units studied will be issued a qualification. Should a student not complete the full qualification, a statement of attainment will be issued for the units which the student is deemed competent.
  • If you withdraw, you’ll receive a Statement of Attainment for the units you’ve successfully completed.
